Head4Talent is looking for a Management Accountant for a growing Manufacturing business near Bridgend.

As the Management Accountant, you will drive financial performance improvements, profitability and reporting timelines working closely with the Financial Director.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Providing analysis on performance, KPI reports and investigating variances.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register.
• Assisting on budgets and forecasts.
• Liaising with the external auditors.
• Prepare and analyze production costs of materials, labour, and manufacturing overhead to ensure efficiency and profitability.
• Analyzing data and presenting regular reports to senior management on financial performance, including inventory levels, sales, and cost of sales.
• Evaluating the profitability of product lines and the effects of price and cost alterations over time.
• Conduct profitability analysis and analyze cost structures for new products and projects, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Identifying and assessing cost-saving opportunities and offering recommendations to enhance profitability.
  
  

Experience Required

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting in manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
• Proven experience analyzing data to identify patterns and trends and providing commentary.
