This Management Accountant role offers a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of month-end reporting, support key commercial decisions, and play an integral part in the company’s continued growth. As Management Accountant, you’ll work closely with both finance and operational teams, providing accurate financial information and insightful analysis that directly influences business performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on within a collaborative SME environment, with the autonomy to make a real impact. It could also be a brilliant move for those looking to transition from practice into industry, offering the chance to gain broad exposure in a commercial setting.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and journals

  • Preparing and reviewing detailed balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring financial controls remain robust

  • Delivering meaningful variance analysis and commentary to support strategic decision-making

  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting processes to provide visibility across the business

  • Partnering with operational teams to explain financial performance, challenge assumptions, and provide insight

  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance reporting efficiency

  • Supporting year-end processes and audit preparation as required

The successful candidate will:
  • Be a Part-Qualified or Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)

  • Bring experience gained within a fast-paced SME environment, demonstrating a hands-on and solutions-focused approach

  • Have strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail, with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders

  • Ideally have exposure to manufacturing or a product-based environment, although this is not essential

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a stable, growing business in a visible Management Accountant role where you’ll add real value and develop your career within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
