Job summary

NFP, part of the Aon group, is hiring a Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support our growing Finance team in the UK and Ireland. You will assist in financial reporting, business partnering, and continuous improvement across UK operations, strengthening financial control and delivering high-quality analysis for decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting financial performance for your business line, including monthly management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet) with variance analysis and commentary.
  • Lead and improve month-end close activities, ensuring deadlines, integrity, and full reporting.
  • Own key finance processes (bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, intercompany) with accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Handle and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring controls and timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to strengthen financial controls, improve efficiency, and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Drive standardisation of finance processes across units for consistency, scalability, and governance.
  • Deliver significant financial analysis and insights to aid strategic and operational decisions.
  • Build relationships with non-finance stakeholders to provide clear, actionable financial insight for decision-making.

We’re hiring for a Management Accountant on a 12-Month fixed-term contract to support our growing Finance team!

To keep up with our growth in the UK and Ireland, we’re looking for a dedicated Management Accountant to assist in supporting financial reporting, business partnering, and continuous improvement across the UK operations. The role will play a key part in strengthening financial control, improving processes, and delivering high-quality analysis to assist with decision-making. This is a 12-Month fixed-term contract.

Using these skills, you’ll be:

  • Responsible for reporting financial performance for your business line, including the production and review of monthly management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet), supported by robust variance analysis and clear commentary
  • Lead and continuously improve month-end close activities, ensuring adherence to reporting deadlines, financial integrity, and completeness of reporting
  • Own key finance processes, including bank reconciliation, accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue and intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and sustained improvement throughout all reporting activities
  • Handle and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring appropriate controls, accuracy, and timely resolution of reconciling items
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to strengthen financial controls, improve efficiency, and enhance reporting capabilities
  • Drive standardisation of finance processes across business units to improve consistency, scalability, and governance
  • Deliver significant financial analysis and insights to aid strategic and operational decision-making
  • Build strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders, providing clear, relevant, and actionable financial insight to support decision-making
  • Proactively challenge stakeholders to drive improved financial performance and accountability
  • Supply to the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of financial policies, processes, and controls
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing informative analysis on key drivers and variances
  • Collaborate with transactional finance teams, ensuring appropriate oversight and alignment with financial control requirements
  • Perform group reconciliations and support head office reporting requirements as the need arises
  • Lead year-end audit processes for assigned areas, including preparation, coordination with auditors, and timely delivery of requirements
  • Ensure strong governance and adherence to financial controls, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Support VAT and corporation tax processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy where applicable
  • Support finance transformation initiatives across systems, processes, and reporting, improving efficiency and scalability
  • Act as a change champion, driving adoption of improved processes and controls across the business
  • See opportunities to enhance processes and workflows, reducing manual effort and improving data quality
  • Support ad-hoc finance projects and initiatives as required
