Job summary

A growing manufacturing business in Birmingham is seeking an ambitious Management Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for month-end reporting, analyzing trends, and providing financial insights. Ideal candidates will be qualified or finalist level, have experience in management accounting within a manufacturing environment, and strong Excel skills. This role offers an opportunity for progression under a supportive Finance Director and involves hybrid working after settling in.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the review of consolidated monthly management accounts.
  • Complete all National Statistics forms.
  • Conduct contract costing, revenue and margin analysis.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare group company quarterly VAT returns.
  • Conduct variance analysis and commentary.
  • Daily sales reporting and business partner support.
  • Assist with year end audit.

SF Group are working with a growing manufacturing business based in North Birmingham on the recruitment of an ambitious and confident Management Accountant. The successful Management Accountant will preferably have experience within a busy manufacturing environment and be qualified or finalist level. This role will play a key part in month end reporting including analysing and reporting on trends, providing KPI reports, reviewing group accounts and challenging budget holders on financial performance. If you are successful in securing the Management Accountant position you will be given the opportunity to progress through the business gain more responsibility under the guidance of a supportive and inspiring Finance Director. This role will be office based initially with hybrid working after initial settling in period.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the review of consolidated monthly management accounts.
  • Complete all National Statistics forms.
  • Contract costing, revenue and margin analysis.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Group company quarterly VAT returns.
  • Variance analysis and commentary.
  • Daily sales reporting.Business partner with senior operations staff.
  • Assist with year end audit.
  • Other adhoc work to assist the FD.
Requirements
  • Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or Qualified by Experience.
  • Strong experience within Management Accounting, ideally within Manufacturing.Good Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
