Candidates must possess a BSc or DCR in Radiography, a Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography, and be HCPC Registered. Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Centre Manager and work independently and collaboratively.
  • Deliver a high-quality breast screening service.
  • Analyse acquired data, record results, and produce high-quality images.
  • Perform screenings on-site during health assessments.
  • Maintain the highest standards of patient care.
  • Organise the daily work programme for efficiency.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and faults are reported.
  • Establish stock control systems and liaise with suppliers.
  • Streamline the patient pathway through the imaging department.

Vacancy Mammographer (Part‑Time) Location: Cardiff Gate Business Park, Cardiff, CF23 8RW. Contract: Permanent. Hours: 16 hours / 2 days per week. Additional Information: Parking Onsite. Key Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Centre Manager, working independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team within the clinic.
  • Deliver a high‑quality breast screening service, performing examinations in line with departmental policies and procedures and the requirements of referring physicians.
  • Analyse acquired data accurately, record results and produce clear, high‑quality images for reporting.
  • Perform screenings on‑site during health assessments, ensuring patients receive a fast, efficient service from screening to treatment.
  • Maintain the highest standards of patient care and demonstrate flexibility in sharing tasks to deliver exceptional service.
  • Organise the daily work programme to ensure the department runs efficiently.
  • Ensure all equipment within the department is cared for and maintained, cleanliness upheld and all equipment faults reported immediately.
  • Maintain efficient use of all resources, establish stock control systems and liaise with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Use own initiative to respond to the needs of the service and focus on streamlining the patient pathway through the imaging department.
Essential Qualifications
  • BSc or DCR in Radiography (essential)
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography (essential)
  • HCPC Registered (essential)
