Job summary

A health care provider is seeking a Band 7 Mammographer to deliver high-quality mammography imaging services, supporting early detection and diagnosis of breast disease. Candidates should be HCPC-registered Radiographers with relevant qualifications, experience in supervising Radiographers or Assistants, and a commitment to compassionate patient care. This is a full-time, temporary role located in South West, with a negotiable hourly rate. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to maintain high clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate Award in Mammography Practice (or working towards it).
• Experience in supervising Radiographers and/or Assistant Practitioners.
• Evidence of continued professional development (CPD).
• Experience supervising radiographers and/or assistants.
• Experience supporting clinical education of colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Undertake high-quality mammography imaging according to protocols.
• Ensure delivery of compassionate, safe, and effective care.
• Supervise and support less experienced colleagues.
• Contribute to maintaining and improving clinical standards and service development.
• Supervise and support less experienced radiography staff.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated HCPC-registered Radiographer with a Postgraduate Certificate in Mammography (or working towards it) to join our NHS Client.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in delivering high-quality breast imaging services, supporting the early detection and diagnosis of breast disease, and making a real difference to the lives of our patients.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Undertake high-quality mammography imaging in accordance with departmental protocols and national standards.
• Ensure the delivery of compassionate, safe, and effective care for all service users.
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support screening and symptomatic services.
• Contribute to maintaining and improving clinical standards and service development.
• Supervise and support less experienced colleagues, including Radiographers and Assistants (if applicable).
