Job description

We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our friendly team in Bury St Edmunds, helping individuals live independently in their own homes across Bury St Edmunds.

This role is a chance to build great relationships, bring joy to everyday moments, and support people in living life to the fullest. Your support will be tailored to each individual’s needs and may include assistance with day‑to‑day activities such as cooking nutritious meals, keeping on top of household tasks like cleaning and laundry, managing finances, and administering medication.

The people we support lead full and active lives, and you’ll be right there with them, supporting individuals as they enjoy everything from gym sessions, garden centre visits, arts and crafts, volunteering at the local charity shop, social meetups, and even the occasional sailing trip during the summer.

This is a community‑based role, supporting three gentlemen in their own homes, so you’ll need to be able to travel around Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas, therefore a full driving licence is essential. Shift patterns will be varied across days, evenings and weekends, so we are looking for someone who can be relatively flexible; however rotas are planned six weeks in advance to also fit around your lifestyle.

If you’re someone who is patient, supportive and truly values helping others, we would love to hear from you. Experience is welcome but not essential—what matters most is your attitude and willingness to make a difference. Full training will be provided, and you'll be supported every step of the way.
