A leading home care provider is looking for a part-time Personal Care Assistant in Cringleford, Norfolk. The assistant will support a quiet gentleman with daily chores and accompany him on social outings. Applicants should have experience in mental health care and be comfortable around dogs. Comprehensive training will be provided.
Location: Cringleford, Norfolk
Hours: 20 hours per week on Thursday/Friday
Pay: £12.50 per hour

Our personal care assistants join our clients' support team, providing reliable, essential care and support in their home. You will be employed by HomeCareDirect on behalf of the client and your focus will be to support them only. This role is part-time, 20 hours per week on Thursday and Friday.
Our client is a quiet gentleman who likes to stay at home. His interests include Manchester United, gaming, reading and crime programmes. We are looking to recruit a personal care assistant who can motivate him to do his daily chores and who will assist him around his home with general housework and cooking. You will also accompany our client out in the community with social activities and to appointments.
There is no personal care involved in this role; however you will be required to assist with personal care when needed during/after a seizure.
The role and client can be challenging, so having a good understanding of mental health is important to provide proper support for his well-being. While driving is not required, you should be comfortable around dogs, as the family has an energetic and affectionate cockapoo.
Knowledge of autism would also be an advantage.
