Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Male SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Secondary SEN school in Greenwich on a temporary basis. You will support students 1:1 and in small groups, assist with personal care, and help with communication and participation in lessons.

The role runs long-term until July, term-time only, with a daily rate of £93 to £100 paid weekly via PAYE. The school focuses on dignity and independence, with a dedicated local consultant and access to CPD training through Teaching

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with SEN or in a care setting.
• Ability to provide personal care with privacy and dignity.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service, or willingness to apply.
• Male applicants only due to occupational requirement.

Responsibilities

• Support students 1:1 and in small groups alongside the class teacher.
• Provide personal care for male students while respecting privacy and dignity.
• Help students communicate and take part in lessons.
• Support positive behaviour and wellbeing.
