A support services provider in Bedworth is seeking a Personal Assistant to work closely with an adult who has an acquired brain injury. The role involves providing personal care, assisting with daily activities, and fostering a supportive relationship. Candidates should have experience working with vulnerable adults and a good sense of humor. Flexibility in hours is essential, and a driving license is preferable but not mandatory. This role includes various tasks from cooking to attending healthcare appointments.

Job Title: Personal Assistant
Responsible to: Directly accountable to and taking direction from the employer
Hours: 35 hours a week including sleep ins
Work Pattern: Day shifts: 7am to 9pm
Waking and sleep in shifts: 9pm to 7am
Hourly Rate of Pay: £13 per hour; £12.21 per hour sleep in
Based at: Own bungalow (employer’s home address) in Bedworth
To work one to one with an adult with an Acquired Brain Injury. He has a great sense of humour and has brought his own bungalow that is fully adapted. The purpose is to build a trusting professional relationship with the gentleman. To support him in day to day living and health needs and develop his quality of life. The gentleman enjoys good food and good company, TV, fishing, shopping, gardening, camping and going to the gym and exercising.
The gentleman does have his own automatic motability vehicle which staff can use for travelling distances with him, therefore a driving licence is preferable (but not essential as public transport and walking are options)
To perform such other duties as may reasonably be required.
