Hourly rate: from age related national minimum wage to £12.90 per hour

Holidays: 5.6 weeks per year (pro rata)

Full U.K. driving licence essential

Position Overview

We are looking for a Personal Assistant who can support a power chair user, adult male (42) who seeks someone to act as a driver (person has own mobility vehicle) and companion.

Hours are 16 in total, normally 2 eight‑hour days, usually Tuesday and Sunday, but you will need to be flexible due to the person's wide range of activities and interests; hours and days can vary with the possibility of more hours.

Responsibilities
  • Driving to weekly athletic training sessions and competitions
  • Driving to weekly archery sessions
  • Driving to weekly arts and craft sessions
  • Occasionally to or from his place of employment
  • Occasionally to his weekly drama club
  • Driving to Amble, Alnwick Gardens, Gibside, the Metro Centre, and The Range
  • Other activities: fishing, D.I.Y., and gardening
