Job description
The Role

Key purpose of the role is to support the delivery of transformational and investment programmes for North Lincolnshire, specifically supporting the Council's response to energy-related Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs).

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Acting as project manager for a range of energy-related NSIPs and council-led major projects.
  • Supporting the Council's responses to nationally significant green energy infrastructure projects.
  • Leading the commissioning and management of consultants to support delivery.
  • Identifying and delivering inward investment projects that align with the Council's priorities and UK carbon neutral targets.
  • Managing project budgets and maintaining accurate records, reports, and financial audit trails.
  • Advising senior management, councillors, and external partners on project options, community schemes, and regeneration opportunities.
The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require:

Degree or Diploma (or equivalent) in Planning or a related subject.

Chartered RTPI membership or eligibility for RTPI membership.

Extensive experience of project development, contract management, and delivery within a local authority or infrastructure planning context.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

  • Knowledge of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) and planning legislation.
  • Experience of budget monitoring and consultancy management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £27 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £22 per hour PAYE).
