A tobacco processing facility in Oxford, North Carolina is seeking to fill the year-round, hourly position of Maintenance Technician. The individual in this position will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of factory equipment.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience of actual industrial plant maintenance experience
• Industrial electrical and welding experience
• Forklift experience
• Must be flexible to work different shifts
• Must be able to work without direct supervision
• Manual lifting of equipment up to 75 pounds may be required occasionally
• Adapt to frequent changes in climate, environment, workload and schedules

Responsibilities / Job Duties

• All duties and responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician, including maintenance of plant machinery
• Assist in repair and maintenance of factory equipment to ensure all control functions are accurate and functioning correctly
• Applicants must be able to work with hand tools, air and power tools, ladders, jacks, electrical/electronic measuring equipment
• Assist in installation of new equipment when required
• Make necessary repairs or disassemble and assemble machine parts
• Operate machines used in the fabrication of machine components
• Keep equipment and work areas clean
• Complete necessary department records on activities and operations
