Job Description

Kinetic Recruitment are currently resourcing for a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician for a client based in Wallsend on a permanent contract. As Maintenance Technician you will work as part of a team to ensure all plant and machinery is available and reliable on site. Tending to breakdowns in a fast and efficient manner minimising downtime.

Responsibilities
  • To carry out planned maintenance to the required standard.
  • To carry out reactive maintenance when required.
  • To be able to coordinate and cooperate with production supervision on a day to day basis, to ensure the smooth running and availability of plant and equipment.
  • Continuous promotion of best H&S practise.
  • To proactively help reduce function accident statistics.

Shift pattern will be 2 shift (Week 1 6am-2pm / Week 2 2pm-10pm).

Skills and Experience
  • Mechanical or Electrical qualification HNC or equivalent.
  • Candidates must have worked in a maintenance role previously within heavy engineering/ manufacturing in a fast paced environment.
  • PLC experience would be an advantage.
