Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on machinery and facilities.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs or replacements.
• Support installation, relocation, and upgrades of equipment.
• Keep accurate maintenance and downtime records.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and uphold 5S practices.
• Collaborate with teams to minimise operational disruption.

Role

Maintenance Technician — Based in Kirkby

Salary: £50,000 including shift allowance
Shifts: Continental working 12-hour shifts

• 4 days on, 4 off, 4 days on, 4 off (6am-6pm)
• 4 nights on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off (6pm-6am)

Key responsibilities

Skills & experience

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and time management
• Relevant vocational qualification (NVQ, ONC, C&G) and apprenticeship
• At least 1 year's maintenance experience (3+ years desirable)
• Bonus skills: Forklift or IPAF license
• Personal attributes: Detail-oriented, adaptable, team-focused, and efficient under pressure
