Job summary

A leading manufacturer of sustainable products is seeking a multi skilled engineer to join their canning department in Wakefield. This role involves operating and maintaining machinery, conducting preventive maintenance, and promoting continuous improvement. Candidates should possess an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, along with maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting. The position operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, including day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Maintenance and fault diagnostic experience within manufacturing or heavy engineering.
• Fluent English is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machinery and process equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance as directed by Engineering.
• Promote quality improvement through continuous improvement activities.
• Risk assess mechanical and electrical work for safety.
