Qualifications

  • Experience with VSD and three-phase electrical switchgear.
  • Full UK driving license required.

Job description
Maintenance Technician - Bioresources (Electrical)

Location: ANGLIAN WATER-2, Basildon, Essex.

Salary: Circa £55,000 (£47,864 starting salary + 15% shift allowance). Type: Permanent, 40.25 hours per week, shift‑based.

As an Electrician you will carry out general repairs, investigate and rectify faults, and complete scheduled and reactive maintenance to ensure the reliability of our assets. Your work protects the environment and our customers.

You will gain experience with assets such as electrical control panels, motor testing equipment, level control equipment, inverters, gearboxes, screw conveyors, and centrifuge equipment.

What does it take to be a Bioresources Electrician?
  • NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification or equivalent (e.g., 18th Edition Electrical, City & Guilds Level 3).
  • Completed a relevant electrical apprenticeship.
  • Full UK driving licence.

You should have demonstrable experience in inspections, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs to large pumps, actuated valves, VSD, and three‑phase electrical switchgear.
