Job summary

Bentley Motors Limited seeks a Maintenance Technician at our Crewe campus to maintain and improve manufacturing equipment reliability, supporting assembly and paint operations in line with Bentley policies and Beyond100+ aims. You’ll influence output and quality while ensuring a strong safety culture.

You will work with a cross-functional team across Bentley and VW Group, applying problem-solving, planned maintenance and continuous improvement to enable production targets and drive plant

Qualifications

• Accredited Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent; HNC preferred.
• Experience in engineering, maintenance, military or industrial environments responsible for equipment.
• Experience diagnosing faults using tools, drawings, manuals or structured troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex problem-solving activities with safe, structured approaches and proper escalation.
• Diagnose and rectify faults in mechanical, electrical, electronic, control, PLC and robotics systems.
• Perform planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
• Work to safety framework; report accidents or near misses to supervision.
• Ensure maintenance activities do not risk colleagues, contractors, or visitors.
• Drive continuous improvement using equipment top issues Pareto and RCA tools.
• Collaborate cross-functionally for new equipment installation and site readiness.
