About the Role

We're looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to support the Engineering Manager and ensure all site maintenance and repairs are carried out safely and efficiently. This role is key to maintaining compliance, managing contractors, and driving continuous improvement across our operations.

What We're Looking For
Essential
  • 3+ years' experience in mechanical or plant maintenance (FMCG preferred)
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to solve problems and use initiative
Desirable
  • Facilities management experience
  • Electrical maintenance skills
  • FLT (counterbalance) licence
  • Confined space working experience
  • Welding skills
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all maintenance, calibration, and repairs on site
  • Manage external contractors, ensuring compliance with safety requirements and permit-to-work processes
  • Supervise high-risk tasks such as working at height, confined spaces, and live electrics
  • Maintain accurate records of machinery, plant, calibration data, and maintenance files
  • Implement service schedules and respond quickly to breakdowns
  • Diagnose problems, carry out repairs, and prioritise workload effectively
  • Identify efficiency improvements and recommend solutions
  • General building and site maintenance duties
