Job summary

A maintenance service provider is seeking a Maintenance Worker in Stoke-on-Trent. The role involves performing building inspections, handling repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This position requires collaboration with the maintenance team and clients, effective communication, and use of various tools to execute tasks. Applicants should be prepared for day shifts from Monday to Friday and must comply with drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect the building, grounds, and equipment.
  • Handle necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Install equipment and appliances.
  • Follow local and state building codes.
  • Comply with all company safety regulations.
  • Keep a maintenance log and write shift reports.
  • Report any issues to the maintenance manager or clients.
  • Respond to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
  • Load and unload equipment and tools into work vehicles if needed.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or clients.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team and contractors as needed.
  • Read and follow manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.
  • Use equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.
