Job description
Overview

The Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of manufacturing operations. You'll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of manual and CNC machinery, as well as site infrastructure, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on production machinery
  • Service, repair, and troubleshoot manual and CNC equipment (Siemens or Mazak desirable)
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and O&M manuals
  • Assist in developing maintenance procedures and improvement projects
  • Support apprentices and team members with training and technical guidance
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  • Accurately complete maintenance records, checklists, and documentation
Skills & Experience
  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Proven experience maintaining machinery in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small, multi-skilled team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
  • Experience with lean or continuous improvement practices beneficial
