Maintenance Technician 6510
Location: Bridgwater
Hours: Double days - 6am - 2pm/ 2pm - 10pm
Salary: Dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all site machinery and infrastructure
- Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns and implement effective solutions
- Support operations by resolving mechanical issues impacting production efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and resolve complex faults
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and site procedures
- Complete actions from the Corrective Action Report (CAR) system
- Communicate maintenance plans and machine handovers with relevant departments
- Assist with commissioning, upgrades, and configuration of machinery and facilities
- Maintain detailed records of work completed, parts used, and fault analysis
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site
Key Skills
- Time-served apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering
- Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Proficient in fault finding and root cause analysis
- PC literate; experience with maintenance systems (e.g., CMMS)
- Effective communicator with strong problem-solving ability
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with safe working practices, equipment design, and build
- Willingness to travel occasionally to supplier or partner sites if required
- Flexible, proactive, and accountable with strong initiative
