Job summary

Codi Group, a not-for-profit housing, care and support provider in Wales, is seeking Maintenance Technicians for Extra Care schemes across Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Cardiff and Gwent. Positions include full-time (37 hours) and part-time (16 hours) with flexibility.

You will perform repairs, maintenance and decorating to a high standard, require a driving licence and good communication. Benefits include a Company Vehicle and Fuel Card.

Qualifications

We're looking for Maintenance Technicians to help keep our Extra Care services across Bridgend, RCT, Cardiff and Gwent safe, comfortable and welcoming for residents. £28,802 plus Company Vehicle and Fuel Card Full-time (37 hours) and part-time (16 hours) opportunities available.

About the Role

Our Extra Care schemes support people aged 50+ who have care or support needs, combining the independence of living in their own self-contained apartment with the reassurance of on-site support when needed. Each scheme also includes welcoming communal areas, kitchens, dining spaces and shared facilities for residents to enjoy.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will carry out a range of repairs, maintenance tasks, and painting and decorating work in both void properties and communal areas across our Extra Care schemes in Bridgend, Cardiff, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Gwent.

We have two opportunities available:

• Full-time: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Part-time: 16 hours per week, working Thursdays and Fridays

We can offer flexibility around start and finish times to balance service needs and individual circumstances.

Skills and Experience Needed

• An ability to carry out a wide range of small repairs and redecorating jobs to a high standard.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure effective service delivery.
• Basic IT skills for completion of standard reports (Microsoft).
• Working within a team environment, it is expected that the post-holder have an understanding and experience of team working and working with staff from diverse disciplines.
• A current driving licence.
