NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a skilled estates technician to maintain building services, plant and equipment across NHS facilities. You will diagnose faults, repair engineering, electrical and building services and assist in ensuring statutory compliance.
Experience in estates environments, a driving licence, and a willingness to develop specialist skills such as complex air conditioning are required. This role offers NHS pension, generous annual leave, and progression opportunities.

To maintain a range of buildings services, plant and equipment, which can sometimes be complex and non-routine by diagnosing and repairing faults as they occur.
Maintain NHSL’s mechanical, electrical plumbing, associated building services plant and building fabric assets to a high standard.
This will include the planning and prioritising on a day-to-day basis of their workload and material management requirements to include documentation, completion and sign off.
In this key role, you will:
The post holder will provide technical expertise when required including operating and maintaining safe and efficient systems of work for all building services.
Diagnose, report and repair defects in engineering, electrical and building services to ensure statutory compliances are adhered to and maintained such as water management, low voltage and pressure/water system/heating ventilation and air condition systems.
Understand the working of building services and engineering systems in NHS buildings.
Undertake minor alterations and modifications to existing building systems and services in accordance with appropriate protocols and procedures. E.g. Safety valve going in a boiler – the post holder would have the required skills and training to assess the situation using their own initiative, act in an appropriate safe manner.
