Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of plant facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical fitting/maintenance, leadership skills, and experience in automated manufacturing. Responsibilities include managing maintenance budgets, supervising contractors, and maintaining health and safety standards. Competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum is offered, dependent on experience.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in a medium - large automated manufacturing operation.
  • Experience with Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Rotating Equipment.
  • Background in mechanical fitting/maintenance positions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth running of all equipment and plant maintenance.
  • Manage PPM and breakdown avoidance.
  • Supervise onsite contractors.

Role: Maintenance Team Lead

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Type: Permanent

Location: Glasgow

My client is a specialist manufacturer within the construction industry. They are looking for an experienced Maintenance Lead to join their team in Glasgow on a permanent basis.

Key Attributes
  • Minimum of Time Served Apprenticeship or HNC in Engineering / Manufacturing
  • 3+ Years' experience working in a medium - large automated manufacturing operation
  • Previously worked with Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Rotating Equipment etc.
  • Confident with fault finding, issue rectification and routine maintenance activities
  • Background in Mechanical fitting/maintenance positions
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and manage others
  • A flexible and proactive attitude towards work
Role Responsibilities
  • Being proactive in ensuring the smooth running of all equipment and plant maintenance
  • PPM and breakdown avoidance
  • Ensuring documentation is maintained, site reviews are managed and Health & Safety standards are met
  • Supervising onsite contractors
  • Overseeing the maintenance budget and stock control
  • Ensuring efficiency and a high standard of work is met throughout the site
  • Working with others and being an excellent team player
