Job summary

Tristone Nash is seeking a Maintenance Surveyor to help keep homes safe, compliant and well maintained for residents in Devon. You will diagnose defects, specify repairs and carry out property inspections, while coordinating contractors and ensuring value for money.

You will support reactive repairs, void properties and planned maintenance, check safety and compliance, and help resolve complex repairs, complaints and emergencies.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in a building-related subject is essential.
• Knowledge of building construction, property maintenance and defect diagnosis.
• A building surveying qualification or professional membership would be an advantage.

We're supporting a local authority in Devon who are looking for a Maintenance Surveyor to help keep homes safe, compliant and well maintained, delivering a high-quality repairs service that makes a real difference to residents.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnosing building defects, specifying repairs and carrying out property inspections.

• Helping resolve complex repairs, complaints and property emergencies.

What we're looking for

You'll have knowledge of building construction, property maintenance and defect diagnosis, alongside the ability to manage contractors and competing priorities. You'll also bring strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.

An HNC or equivalent in a building-related subject, or relevant practical experience, is essential. A building surveying qualification or professional membership would be an advantage.
