Position Responsibilities
  • Plans, assigns, and directs the activities of subordinates.
  • Participates in hiring and disciplinary decisions.
  • Demonstrates competency for all on‑job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality, and/or quality.
  • Ensures plant facility and equipment are maintained according to standards.
  • Assists the Maintenance Manager or Superintendent in performing assigned duties.
  • Supervises and/or participates in the repair and maintenance of all plant machinery and equipment.
  • Trains new employees according to established training programs and plant procedures.
  • Reads, understands, and implements schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Maintains good employee relations.
  • Promotes safety programs, ensures safe operating procedures, and monitors employee compliance.
  • Ensures that work areas are cleaned and organized during the assigned shift.
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes‑Oxley, etc.).
  • Performs other duties as deemed an integral part of the job, including adherence to work schedules, attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of proven leadership or supervisory experience in industrial operations, maintenance, or utilities.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical wiring, motor control, PLC, equipment repair, and industrial equipment installation/start‑up.
  • Experience installing, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical equipment; electrical troubleshooting preferred.
  • Experience or knowledge of PLCs, networking devices, and Allen Bradley systems a plus.
  • Managing or overseeing a preventive maintenance program.
  • SAP experience a plus.
Essential Job Requirements
  • Associate degree in electronics/electrical technology or equivalent formal training and work experience.
  • Completion of a formal management skills training program.
