Department: Physical Plant

Target Hire Date: December 2025

Manchester University invites applications for a hands‑on Maintenance Supervisor to lead and participate in daily maintenance operations for the North Manchester campus and the Koinonia Environmental & Retreat Center. This role combines leadership and skilled maintenance work, overseeing staff and ensuring facilities, systems, and equipment operate efficiently and safely.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead and participate in maintenance and repair of campus facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Supervise and schedule maintenance staff, ensuring quality and timely completion of work.
  • Monitor building systems, energy use, and equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  • Coordinate vendors and contractors for repairs, projects, and inspections.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, safety compliance, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Support snow removal and other seasonal campus operations.
What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in building operations or equivalent hands‑on experience.
  • At least five years of maintenance or facilities experience, including leadership or supervisory roles.
  • Strong initiative, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and general building systems.
  • Ability to perform physical maintenance tasks and work occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
