Job summary

NORIT Activated Carbon in Glasgow is seeking a Maintenance Planner to coordinate efficient planning and scheduling of maintenance work in our chemical production plant. You will ensure procedures, materials, tools and equipment are identified and available while supporting reliability engineers and the maintenance supervisor.

Key responsibilities include safety compliance, risk assessment, work order preparation, shutdown planning with MS Project, and coordination with contractors.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent craft technical education background.
• 3-5 years related industry experience.
• Industrial background in chemical, extractive, heavy manufacturing or similar.
• Proficiency in CMMS and MS Project.
• Experience of maintenance operations, shutdown and project planning and scheduling.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A willingness to embrace change in our drive for continued improvement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance work safely and efficiently.
• Prepare work orders and ensure no duplication.
• Coordinate and quality assure maintenance and servicing on site.
• Develop maintenance plans, PMs, and schedules.
• Support shutdown planning and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with contractors for project orientation and RAMs reviews.
