Job summary

Robert McBride seeks aMaintenance Planner to coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance across the Middleton facility, supporting the Engineering Manager in improving asset reliability and reducing downtime. You will develop schedules, track KPIs, and coordinate with engineering, production, and HSE teams.

The role requires a strong grounding in CMMS, asset management principles, and regulatory compliance, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate calibre in a relevant discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• CMMS training or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) certification preferred.
• Additional training in asset management, predictive maintenance technologies, and regulatory compliance advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for plant equipment and facilities.
• Plan and coordinate corrective maintenance activities, ensuring timely resolution of equipment failures.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and HSE teams to prioritise maintenance tasks in line with operational and safety requirements.
• Manage work orders, spare parts, and resource allocation through CMMS.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal maintenance policies.
• Monitor contractor performance and coordinate external service providers for specialized maintenance tasks.
• Track and analyse maintenance KPIs (e.g., equipment availability, MTBF, maintenance costs).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in reliability, asset management, and maintenance efficiency.
• Provide input into capital projects and equipment upgrades from a maintenance perspective.

Key Purpose:

To ensure the effective planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance activities across the manufacturing site, supporting the Engineering Manager in optimizing asset reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Track and analyse maintenance KPIs (e.g., equipment availability, mean time between failures, maintenance costs).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in reliability, asset management, and maintenance efficiency.
• Provide input into capital projects and equipment upgrades from a maintenance planning perspective.

Qualification(s) & Education:
