Job summary

McDonald’s United Kingdom is looking for a Maintenance Person to keep the restaurant clean, safe, and well-maintained, ensuring a great customer experience. You will support day-to-day upkeep, including various maintenance tasks across the site and coordination with contractors.

No experience is required as full training will be provided, and you will work set shifts including evenings, weekends, and overnights to help the restaurant run smoothly.

• Willing to work Weekdays and Weekends, with shifts across Evenings, Late Nights and Overnights.

Responsibilities

• Inspect interior and exterior to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Carry out maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, varnishing, and minor repairs.
• Maintain and monitor parking facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers and crew.
• Organise, receive, and rotate food deliveries to support freshness and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with external contractors to ensure timely repairs with minimal disruption to operations.
• Support the overall functionality of the restaurant by keeping equipment and facilities in prime working condition.
• Complete tasks in line with training and company guidelines; follow safety, hygiene and procedures.
• Treat customers and colleagues with courtesy and respect; work as a supportive team member.

This role requires availability to work shifts across various days and times. To meet the criteria for this role, you will be required to be available to work within Weekdays and Weekends, working shifts across Evenings, Late Nights and Overnights.

What does a day as a Maintenance Person look like?

As a Maintenance Person, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the day-to‑day upkeep and maintenance of the restaurant, covering a varied scope of responsibilities across the site, ensuring the restaurant is set up for success to deliver a great customer experience. Your responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting the restaurant’s interior and exterior to ensure all areas meet McDonald’s high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Carry out a variety of maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, varnishing, and minor non‑electrical equipment repairs.
• Maintain and monitor parking facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers and crew.
• Organise, receive, and rotate food deliveries to support freshness and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with the restaurant management team to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Coordinate with external contractors to ensure timely repairs with minimal disruption to restaurant operations.
• Support the overall functionality of the restaurant by keeping equipment and facilities in prime working condition.
• Completing tasks in line with training and company guidelines
• Following all workplace safety, hygiene and operational procedures
• Treating customers and colleagues with courtesy and respect
• Working as a supportive team member and contributing to a positive environment

As a key part of the restaurant team, you will work as a supportive colleague and demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm for the standards in all areas of the restaurant inside and out.

Additional role information: Please note that this roll requires set shifts and these set shifts are as follows - Availabilty Monday , Thursday and Saturday 18:00-02:30 you will need tobe over the age 18 and requires working 25 hours
