Job Overview

MadiganGill are looking for an experienced Maintenance Person to join our team for an 8-week assignment at a school in Bath, BA2. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience in building maintenance, who is ready to ensure the school's facilities remain safe, clean, and well-maintained. The successful candidate will need to undergo a DBS check due to the nature of the environment.

Key Responsibilities

• General maintenance of school facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and basic repairs.
• Regular inspection of the building to identify any maintenance needs.
• Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times.
• Liaising with school staff to address any urgent repair or maintenance requests.
• Assisting with the upkeep of outdoor spaces, including grounds maintenance when required.
• Maintaining stock of supplies and equipment, ensuring safe use and storage.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in a similar maintenance or facilities management role, ideally in an educational or public sector setting.
• Strong knowledge of general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical systems, and repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to react quickly to urgent maintenance issues.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a variety of people.
