The Role & Key Responsibilities

Job Title:Maintenance Operator

Location:Melmerby, North Yorkshire, UK

Contract and Shift details:Permanent, Monday – Friday, 10-hour shifts.

Salary: £30,500

About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Maintenance Operative to join our team at AB Neo.

This involved position plays a vital part in promoting ongoing improvements throughout the site, particularly regarding hygiene, pest control, and enhancements to the facility.

Working closely with the Site Improvement Program (SIP), Site Improvement Audits, and Hygiene Plan, you will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and reliability within our production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular cleaning tasks including vacuuming, scraping, washing, and painting.
  • Operate industrial cleaning equipment and sprayers as required.
  • Follow the hygiene plan outlined in the maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain accurate hygiene records.
  • Support pest control initiatives and standards.
  • Handle materials safely, including use of a Forklift Truck (FLT)
  • Report any leaks, defects, or hazards to the maintenance team.
  • Support and action findings from internal and external audits.
  • Minimise production waste and optimise resource usage.
  • Prioritise improvements to site appearance and functionality.
  • Degrease equipment and perform routine painting.
  • Support overall site reliability and plant efficiency.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to progress the Site Improvement Program
