Job summary

HC-One Ltd. are seeking a Maintenance Operative for a full-time role working 36 hours per week in Nottingham. You will support maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping with knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and IT skills, while upholding safeguarding and quality records.

You'll join a team dedicated to maintaining safe, comfortable living environments for residents and be part of ongoing learning and development within a supportive HC-One family.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to use IT tools.
• Safeguarding training completed or willingness to undertake.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance tasks such as replacing taps or mixer valves, fixing extractor fans, repairing timber and wallpapering with care.
• Conduct proactive inspections and audits to ensure residents live in well maintained spaces.
• Keep accurate records of work carried out and maintenance logs.
• Recognise safeguarding concerns and report them, including escalation when action is not taken.

Job description

This is a full-time position of 36 hours per week. HC-One are looking for a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping. You'll also need technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as ideally some IT skills. And, whenever you communicate with a resident or co-worker, you'll be truly considerate and kind. As a Maintenance Operative that will mean making sure our Residents live in a place that's proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times. You'll carry out audits and make sure records are kept up to date. And, whether you're replacing a tap or mixer valve, fitting a new extractor fan, repairing the timber on a bedroom window or putting up new wallpaper in the dining room, you'll do so with a sense of kindness above anything else. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas.
