Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Operative for our maintenance team comprising various trades, working in a Hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking Planned Preventative and Reactive maintenance tasks to mechanical and electrical services and the building fabric.
• Ideally you will have a background in mechanical or electrical maintenance and be able to carry out emergency light testing, PAT testing, Legionella monitoring tasks, water treatment sample testing and dosing, lamp / tube replacements, minor plumbing, engineering and building fabric repairs.
• Staff are expected to undertake works associated with other trades, depending upon their skills.
• You will need to be able to drive, have good communication skills: Verbal, Written and IT to react with both staff and clients to ensure a delivery of services, you will also be expected to undertake any necessary training that might be required in order to undertake the role.

Qualifications

• A recognised qualification in a Mechanical, Electrical or Building discipline would be an advantage, but not essential, training can be provided for the right candidate.
