Job description

Our Property Team here provide planned and re‑active maintenance necessary to preserve our reputation for the comfort and safety of our guests and staff across both hotels.

This role is essential to the success of both the Bedruthan and Scarlet Hotels and is principally associated with carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities in both hotels, spas, guests areas and project works.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide an exceptional high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within a commercial occupied and Industrial environment and with the utmost regard for customer service.
  • Undertake General Handyman and semi‑skilled duties including, but not limited to: Minor Building Fabric Repairs, Decorating Tasks, Plumbing Repairs and basic Electrical Repairs.
  • Working both within a team and independently, you will need to be capable of carrying out a range of different maintenance tasks, though your primary responsibility will be the upkeep of both hotels.

It is imperative you carry out work, whilst maintaining a clean and tidy area, both during and after work is carried out. You will need to prioritise effectively and complete tasks to a high standard.

The role requires you to interact with our guests and staff.

Skills, Knowledge & Attributes
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • One main trade qualification (e.g. NVQ 2, NVQ 3, City & Guilds)
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety and compliance requirements.
  • Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of maintenance and guest satisfaction.
