Role — Maintenance Operative

As the Maintenance Operative for the home, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff, as well as maintaining the overall presentation of the home and garden.

Regular health and safety checks are essential to create a safe environment for everyone. This may include fire alarm testing, water flushing and bed safety checks, among others.

Effective communication is vital in your role. You will regularly engage with residents, their families, and colleagues, and liaise with contractors to coordinate services and ensure work is completed to a high standard. Occasional visits to other homes may be necessary to provide cover or as part of planned maintenance activities.
