Serco Limited is seeking a Maintenance Operative in Wigan to perform reactive and proactive repairs across joinery, plumbing, painting and decorating. You will manage your own workflow and collaborate with a team when needed, ensuring works meet SLAs and safety standards.
The role includes on-call duties on a rota basis, travel within the region and occasional UK travel, with vehicles, tools and a company card for materials provided. A full UK driving licence is essential.
Salary – £27,500 to £33,500 depending on experience & skills, plus Serco benefits.
Full UK driving licence must be held. Vehicle and tools provided.
Here at Serco, we work with Asylum Accommodation and Support Services to assist individuals through the asylum system, which includes providing them with temporary accommodation.
As the Maintenance Operative your role is key in ensuring all requested repairs, be that reactive or proactive and pre planned (via manager), are carried out to the required standard and within our SLA deadlines.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with previous maintenance experience within a field relating to joinery, fitting, plumbing, painting & decorating etc. You will be a highly motivated individual who can manage your own workflow as well as working within a team when necessary.
As a Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for the Health & Safety of yourself and that of all users of the property during, and after works have been undertaken and completed.
As part of your role, you will be required to purchase and manage materials using a company account card from approved Serco suppliers only. Vehicles provided by the company will be inspected regularly by employees and kept in a professional and clean condition.
