Location

Stevenage Football Club Offices located at The Lamex Stadium, Broadhall Way, Stevenage, Herts, SG2 8RH, with duties from time to time at the Club’s First Team Training Ground, Sports Hub and Performance Centre.

Hours / Remuneration

Full-Time 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. You may be required to work home match days as part of your role.

Salary dependent on hours, experience and qualification.

Job Purpose

Reporting directly to the Head of Facilities, we are looking for an experienced, professional and multi-skilled Maintenance Operative / Handyman to join the Club. You will be responsible as part of a team for looking after the maintenance repairs for the portfolio of sites we operate from.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carry out both reactive maintenance jobs reported and scheduled maintenance jobs
  • Diagnose any issues and suggest satisfactorily solutions
  • Understand current health and safety regulations and requirements
  • Carry out inspections to ensure all health & safety standards are being adhered to
  • Carry out duties in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
  • Provide feedback and update to the office efficiently
  • Provide afterhours emergency call-out when required
  • Liaise with other team members, contractors, representatives and suppliers where required
  • Source and purchase materials from cost effective locations/stores as and when required
Personal Specification

Skills

Must have skills and experience in plumbing, basic electrics, tiling, carpentry, renovation, floor laying, painting and decorating

Requirements
  • Maintenance Experience – 5 years
  • Valid full (UK) driver’s licence
  • Own a well-maintained van
  • Own tools
  • Advanced DBS Disclosure
  • Maintenance Qualifications in general plumbing, electrics and carpentry
  • Emergency first aid certificate
