Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer or Fabric Engineer to deliver high standards of maintenance and respond to SLA targets at Terminal 5, Heathrow. The role is permanent and involves 44 hours per week across shifts.

You will perform fabric, plumbing, carpentry, painting tasks, carry out minor mechanical/electrical repairs, and maintain logs. The ideal candidate has facilities management experience, a trade background, basic electrical/plumbing skills, and the stamina for working

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or building services.
• Trade background or served experience in a similar role.
• Basic electrical and/or plumbing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building fabric maintenance and repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and patch works.
• Carry out minor mechanical/electrical repairs and planned maintenance (PPMs).
• Maintain inspection logs, remedial reports, and communicate updates to clients.
• Perform tasks such as door repairs, ceiling tile replacements, tiling, and gutter clearance.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and maintain equipment condition.
• Strong communication skills and IT literacy for task recording and updates.

• Experience in facilities management or building services.
• Trade background or served experience in a similar role.

• Manual handling certified and physically fit for working at heights and confined spaces.
• Strong communication skills and IT literacy for task recording and updates.
