A maintenance service provider is looking for a Caretaker/General Maintenance Operative in Grantham, UK. The role involves general site upkeep, gardening, and ensuring facility safety. Ideal candidates are reliable, punctual, and have prior experience in maintenance work. This temporary to permanent position offers working hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

• Checking and logging water temperatures.

Job description

Our client is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker / General Maintenance Operativeto join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining clean and safe facilities, and is comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (with a 1-hour lunch break)

Key Responsibilities

• General site upkeep and routine maintenance
• Jet washing external areas
• Checking and logging water temperatures for listeria risk management
• Gardening duties such as mowing, weeding, and general grounds care
• Supporting other basic maintenance tasks as required

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a caretaker or maintenance role is desirable

• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
