Maintenance Operative

Are you a practical, hands‑on professional who takes pride in keeping properties safe, functional, and well‑maintained? Our client is looking for a Maintenance Operative to join their team and play a key role in delivering a high‑quality living experience for residents.

Hours: Full Time - Monday to Friday
Duration: Permanent
Location: Faversham, Kent
Salary: Competitive

What You'll Do
  • Carry Out Repairs: Respond promptly to day‑to‑day maintenance requests from tenants and the welfare team, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Hands‑On Problem Solving: Diagnose and fix a variety of maintenance issues, from plumbing and electrical to general property repairs.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Undertake routine checks and planned maintenance to keep properties in top condition and prevent future problems.
  • Handle Emergencies: Prioritise urgent repairs and unplanned maintenance tasks to minimise disruption for residents.
  • Maintain Site Systems: Ensure all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are operating safely and efficiently.
  • Keep Records: Log all work completed, inspections, and equipment checks accurately.
  • Tenant Interaction: Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, keeping them informed about repair progress.
  • Support Team Operations: Assist with scheduling, ordering parts, and other admin tasks when needed.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in property maintenance, ideally within caravan parks, holiday parks, or similar environments.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety standards.
