Job summary

Tenpin is seeking a Maintenance Operative to help keep our site in top condition. You will ensure all equipment operates daily, support with bowling and lane repairs, and carry out general maintenance tasks to enhance customer and colleague safety and experience.

Your role includes painting touched-ups, minor wall repairs, and addressing fixtures like locks and dispensers. The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience, a detail-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in painting, decorating, plumbing and non-electrical maintenance.
• Excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Good communication skills and self-motivated.
• Knowledge of site upkeep and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure all equipment on site is functioning daily to keep customers and colleagues safe.
• Assist with bowling or lane repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Identify faults and carry out repairs, adjustments and basic maintenance tasks.
• Paint areas and perform minor decorating repairs (walls, skirting).
• Replace damaged toilet locks, soap dispensers, tiles or carpet tiles as required.

The Role

Our Maintenance Operatives play a vital role in our site's wellbeing. We take great pride in the environment in which we operate, and it is the Maintenance Operative's responsibility to ensure that all equipment is fully functioning on a daily basis, keeping the safety of our customers and colleagues at the forefront of everything that they do and ensuring our customers have a great experience every day. This role will also assist with any bowling or lane repairs and maintenance.

To identify and diagnose faults and to carry out repairs, adjustments and other maintenance works as appropriate, including but not limited to:

• Areas of the site that require painting and re-touching
• Low level decoration/repair of damaged walls or skirting
• Damaged toilet locks and soap dispensers
• Broken wall tiles, floor tiles, soiled/damaged carpet tiles
• Damaged furniture (excluding fabric repair or replacement)
• Removing graffiti from internal and external areas of the site

Skills You Need

• Knowledge and experience in a similar role
• Experience of painting, decorating, plumbing and non-electrical maintenance
