Coverage Care Services Limited is seeking a reliable Maintenance Operative to join our care home team in Bishop's Castle. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, inspections, and PAT testing to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Reporting to the Home Manager, you will maintain gardens, ensure health and safety compliance, and work independently with a positive, proactive attitude to keep the home well-maintained.

Qualifications

• Previous building, property maintenance, or general maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
• Understanding of facilities management and building maintenance.
• Experience within a social care setting is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and repairs throughout the home.
• Conduct routine building inspections and audits, ensuring any required actions are completed.
• Undertake Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on admission and annually.
• Maintain the gardens and outdoor areas to a high standard, encouraging resident involvement where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and safeguarding requirements.
• Safely store and use equipment, tools, and chemicals.
