The home provides high-quality nursing and dementia care for up to 52 residents. The Role
Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our home to the highest standards. This is a varied and hands‑on role where you will be responsible for:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Person to join our friendly team. In this vital role, you will ensure our home and its surroundings are safe, well‑maintained, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out general repairs, maintenance, and decoration across the home and grounds.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and record outcomes (e.g. fire alarms, emergency lighting, water temperatures, and equipment).
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with Health & Safety and environmental regulations.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritise urgent issues appropriately.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers when required, ensuring work is completed to company standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.
  • Support the Home Manager in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a maintenance role (preferred)
  • Practical skills in painting, decorating, electrical, and plumbing tasks
  • A keen eye for detail and high standards of workmanship
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
