Description
- Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
- Providing technical support for new machinery and adapting existing processes.
- Performing ongoing visual inspections and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on machinery and load-handling equipment.
- Responding to on‑call repair service needs.
- Ordering and maintaining inventory of machine parts.
- Installing and adapting new production equipment, considering electrical, computer, layout, and mechanical requirements.
- Reading manuals and literature to stay updated on new and existing equipment.
- Completing preventive maintenance reports and other relevant documentation.
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and troubleshooting systems effectively.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues, including vacuum‑related problems, using best practices.
- Troubleshooting 99% of equipment failures in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or relevant training.
- Ability to read equipment manuals and schematics and use maintenance software.
- Proficient in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Fabrication, machining, and TIG/MIG welding skills are a plus.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Effective communication with technicians, supervisors, and team members.
- Skilled in the safe use of manual and power tools.
- Ability to handle hazardous materials and work in environments with heavy machinery.
