Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Experience in mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventative maintenance, with experience in PLC being a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain equipment to meet all GMP, safety, and professional quality standards.
  • Inspect, maintain, repair, rebuild, and modify any equipment as directed.
  • Repair parts causing machinery breakdowns and replace if necessary.
  • Troubleshoot recurring breakdowns and recommend procedural changes.
  • Use testing equipment and diagnostic skills to identify root causes of issues.
  • Instruct operators on equipment use to prevent damage.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment remains operational.
  • Assist with facility repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Document all work performed using maintenance management software.
  • Support machine setups and changeovers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, following Good Manufacturing Practices.
Essential Skills
  • At least 4 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to pass in-house mechanical aptitude test.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required; formal technical training preferred.
  • Strong electrical and industrial maintenance skills.

Work Environment

Our facility is a fast-paced food production environment that is clean and deadline-intensive. You will work with a 12-person maintenance team, including management, mechanics, and machine cleaners. The role requires wearing a provided uniform over street clothing, with additional safety gear such as hairnets and beard covers. The work shifts are as follows:

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
