Job description

Entegris is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift located in Bedford, Massachusetts. This position will report directly to the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor. Candidate will be responsible for daily production equipment maintenance both planned and unplanned activities based on priorities.

What You’ll Do
  • Work from drawings, diagrams, technical manuals, schematics and written and verbal instructions to perform troubleshooting and repair as required.
  • Must be able to work in a cleanroom.
  • Disassemble and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum systems.
  • Maintain manuals for PMs and replacement parts.
  • Works around and handles process chemicals and gases.
  • Maintain files and records in support of continuous improvement efforts.
  • May be required to work irregular hours or return to plant after the shift in the event of unexpected mechanical breakdowns or projects.
  • Establish and promote safe and healthy working conditions.
  • Works closely with process and equipment engineers to resolve chronic equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance to department safety procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure highest possible product quality and adherence to Entegris Quality System, ISO and/or other standards.
Outstanding Candidates Will Have
  • AAS Degree in Electronics / Electromechanics, Certificate / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Control and Automation Engineering.
  • Experience in equipment maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electromechanical, and PLCs.
  • High vacuum experience, including mechanical vacuum pumps, cryo pumps, diffusion pumps, and turbo pumps.
  • Experience with RF electricity including tuning and matching networks.
  • Able to adapt to the changing needs of a high paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledgeable with computer controls and systems including support equipment.
  • Proficient in the use of most types of hand tools and meters.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively.
  • Able to diagnose and make correction for equipment faults and programming error effectively.
  • Good organizational and follow-up skills, as well as sharp attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus.
