EQ Care Group is seeking a Maintenance Manager for Acer Lodge in Blackburn to oversee building upkeep, safety, and resident wellbeing. You will lead maintenance tasks, coordinate with engineers, and ensure records compliance to support a caring, safe home environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in building maintenance.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH and risk assessment procedures.
• Proactive in sharing ideas to improve processes and efficiency.
• Willingness to learn and continuously improve performance.
• Willing to go the extra mile to ensure a high standard of service.
• Experience within a care home environment.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; with the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Review daily maintenance log and coordinate repairs with engineers under the Home Manager.
• Conduct safety and maintenance checks daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Understand and follow the home’s emergency procedures, including fire safety and gas leak protocols.
• Maintain designated equipment and records per company guidelines.
• Perform basic electrical safety checks and report faults to the Home Manager and Electrical Contractor.
