This site plays a key role in global production and is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to support its operations on a rolling 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
Your new role As Maintenance Manager, you'll report to the Maintenance & Reliability Director and lead a team of approximately 10 direct reports.
You’ll be responsible for: Overseeing the maintenance strategy for all process equipment, Leading troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical improvement initiatives, Managing internal and external service providers, Driving continuous improvement and reliability‑centred maintenance practices, Ensuring compliance with GMP, EHS, and quality standards, Supporting CapEx projects and shutdown planning, Providing out‑of‑hours support when required.
This is a hands‑on leadership role in a fast‑paced, regulated environment, requiring close collaboration with production, engineering, procurement, and external vendors.
What you’ll need to succeed
Time‑served engineering qualification (Mechanical/Electrical/Refrigeration) with advanced apprenticeship or relevant degree; Proven experience in maintenance leadership within GMP‑regulated environments; Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing and utility systems; Excellent people management, communication, and organisational skills; Experience with SAP and operational excellence tools (Green Belt level desirable); Ability to lead change, solve complex equipment issues, and drive performance.
